We selected the name OGUN, a word with several different meanings, because we felt it captured the intricate nature of Africa as a society. Too often, people view and speak of Africa as a monolith, when it is in fact the most diverse place on earth. So here you have one WORD, selected from one LANGUAGE (out of over 100 Nigerian dialects), from one COUNTRY in AFRICA.

Ògùn – Medicine, Black Magic, Idolatory, God of Iron
Ógún - War
Ogún - Twenty, Inheritance

Ògùn State Nigeria is located just due north of the commercial hub, Lagos State.

Ògùn River is a Waterway in Nigeria that rises in Oyo State and flows into the Lagos Lagoon. In the Yoruba religious tradition, Yemoja is the divinity of the Ogun River.
